Championship Sunday over the Memorial Day Weekend… Nothing like an exciting weekend of basketball and now ending it with two teams looking for a championship, as they head home with some hardware. Overall, the talent has been terrific but these were the teams that fared well and racked up the wins, as they battled it out to be crowned a champion.
Back down in the 13u Division, PSB 7th Grade Knox and PCH Nightrydas looked to end Sunday in a great way… with a W. It was a tight battle throughout the first half, with PCH eventually holding on to the narrow 28-23 lead. Carter Coleman was strong in the first half for PCH, scoring 11 points while Jaishawn Woods led the early charge for PSB. Second half though, the table started to turn and it was led by Woods once again, scoring 13 second-half points while others like Jeremy Thomas and Jalen Reeves chipped in in a big way. Their second half play was enough to get them over the edge and earn the hard-fought 59-51 win.
