We continue a great day of basketball, heading to Game 3 which had Lincoln Charter and Metrolina Christian battling it out on the court. Metrolina came out extremely strong on offense, knocking down shots and scoring in a variety of ways.  They were able to put up 25 first-quarter points to take a strong 25-11 lead after one.  Lincoln Charter started to get things going offensively in the second quarter, getting several guys involved on the floor and sharing the ball.  But Metrolina was led by Eli Clark’s 18 points and Michael Wilson’s 15 points in the first half, as they held a 42-27 lead.

In the start of the second half, Lincoln Charter started to pick up the energy and chipped away a little at the lead eventually getting it under double digits late in the third quarter. But Wilson stepped up late in the quarter to get the lead back to 14 heading into the fourth. There was just too much Metrolina Christian in the end, as the offense really found their groove, shots were falling, and they were able to make enough plays on the defensive end. Metrolina came away with a 73-62 win on Day 1 at the Phenom Lakesgiving.
