On to Game 2 of the first day of the Phenom Hoop State Championship and it was a rematch between these two teams that ended in a thriller the last time around. Liberty Heights and Winston Salem Christian battled it out on the court but it was Liberty Heights that made a point early on, especially on the defensive end.  They jumped out to an 11-4 lead after the first quarter and then continued to limit Winston Salem Christian to only 10 points in the second quarter.   For Liberty Heights offensively though, it was Jonas Aidoo leading the way, showcasing his size and ability to score in an array of ways for a big man, ultimately helping his team hold a 33-14 halftime lead.

In the second half, Winston-Salem Christian started to find a bit more success offensively and continued to bring the energy, hoping to get back into the game.  Jordan Wildy continued to have a solid showing in this one in the third quarter but Liberty Heights had an answer, led by unsigned senior Isaac Farah.  Both teams started to get others into the game as the lead built to 20+ in the fourth quarter for Liberty Heights, ultimately winning 65-40.
