The action continued in Rock Hill, as the top-seeded Combine Academy started its event against Quality Education.' Both teams really came out strong on both ends, with Quality Education putting Combine on their heels early, attacking the basket, and being aggressive at the rim.' They also wanted to get out and run when they could but head coach Jeff McInnis got his team going and eventually took the one-point lead after the first quarter.' They continued to be effective on the offensive end, led by Robert Dillingham and company but Quality Education wouldn't go away, finding themselves down 33-27 at halftime.' Javon Floyd and Camian Shell led the charge for QEA.

In the second half, Combine was able to create a little more separation, outscoring QEA 19-12 behind seven points from Dillingham and seven from AJ Smith.  Shell was the most consistent though for QEA but in the fourth, Combine was able to maintain their double-digit lead throughout and increase it to as many as 20, eventually securing the 68-48 victory to move into the second round.
