John Paul II Catholic has a prospect that has been flying a little under the radar and Phenom Hoops wants to shed a little light.

2020 6’4 Jordan Yarrell has been putting in the hard work and countless hours and it seems to be paying off. He has the tools that coaches are looking for, as he can score on all three levels on the floor, he has excellent footwork, and plays with a high IQ.

We first watched Yarrell back in 2016 at the Phenom 150 camp, when we said, “Jordan is a tough guard that does a little bit of everything on the basketball court. He plays with great energy and intensity at all times.  He is the ultimate team guy that does all the little things for a basketball team to be successful.”

He has continued to impress us over the years and now is one of the top players for his team at John Paul II Catholic.  Our own Miles Masercola had this to say after watching him just a few weeks ago at the high school Jamboree, saying:

“This John Paul Catholic squad is loaded with shooters and scrappy defenders, but Jordan Yarrell continues to show why he’s the best prospect among the bunch. The 6’4 2020 guard is a versatile backcourt piece with his ability to make shots off the catch or dribble while also possessing good vision and passing ability. He’s a scholarship worthy prospect that will be tasked with leading this team over the course of the season.”

So far this season, he is averaging 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as a senior. Yarrell continues to push himself and he certainly doesn’t back down from anyone. Keep a lookout for this young man in hopes of a big final year.
