Harrells Christian is coming off a run to the North Carolina 2A Private School State Playoffs Final Four. Millbrook High School is coming of a run to the North Carolina 4A Public School State Playoffs Final Four. Harrells Christian returns the majority of their production. Millbrook only returns one starter from last year’s team.

HOWEVER, Millbrook has made a pretty incredible run through Summer and Pre-Season ball. Harrells is just getting everyone back from football. This game should be a dog fight, it has everything you want. High level prospects, high level athleticism, and two teams full of toughness.

Watch them play in December, but also be prepared to watch both these teams in March too.

Players to Watch
Millbrook
6’5” 2016 Trejon Jacob

Jacob is one of the most under-valued shooting guards in the state of North Carolina. The lefty has great length and soft touch. He can put it on the floor, defend the wing, and finish above the rim. Jacob is a D1 prospect, and expect those offers to start coming maybe as soon as this weekend

6’5 2017 Patrick Dorsey
Dorsey is a high academic student, but what he brings to the table is “volleyball line range”. Dorsey is unafraid to pull the trigger and in this drive and kick offense, he gets a lot of looks. Capable of reeling off big nights.

6’6 2016 Faison Brock
Brock does the dirty work. He is a double digit rebounder and he accumulates 3 blocks and 3 steals each game. Offensively, he has touch off the catch and finishes everything toward the rim. Brock carries 3 D2 offers, look for that list to continue growing.

Harrells Christian
6’7” 2016 Quate McKinzie (Buffalo Signee)

Long and explosive. McKinzie is a walking highlight reel around the rim. One of the better rim protectors in the state, McKinzie is also a very under-appreciated passer, from the high post. Harrells Christian can run some halfcourt offense through him, and McKinzie has the skill set to pick you apart.

5’9” 2016 Marcus Scarborough
Tough Tough Touch. Scarborough has a get it done mentality. Built with a sturdy running back’s frame, he attacks the rim and seeks out contact. Defensively he is in your face for 94 feet. Without question, Scarborough sets the tone.

Matchups to Watch
Faison Brock Vs Quate McKinzie

This matchup will low key be one of the best of the day. McKinzie has all the accolades as an EYBL alum and collegiate signee. Brock isn’t as heralded but is just as productive. This match up will be tough, it will be grimy and it will provide the fans some high level moments.

Jordan Whitfield Vs Marcus Scarborough
What a tough matchup. Both of these lead guards play with all heart. Scarborough is just coming off a football season that saw him make a run at all state. This will be Whitfield’s first year at Millbrook High School. However, through the summer, preseason scrimmages, and into the season Millbrook has yet to lose with him in the line-up. Both guys will be in your face the whole game.
