What Was Recently Said:
“Although some ups and downs as a team, Fannon was a guy who constantly shined within his role on both ends of the floor. He’s a big, strong-bodied forward/post prospect with a high motor and the ability to battle inside or space the floor from the perimeter. Fannon mixes it up as a rebounder, understands how to wall-up defensively, and is adaptable to whatever the team needs. Given his age, he will certainly be a useful player over the coming years.” Later followed by, “It was easy to be impressed with the Carolina Riptide as a group, but Fannon definitely deserves acknowledgement for his individual play. At 6-foot-7, he’s a phenomenal shooting threat from beyond the arc. Fannon is capable of playing around the basket, making the extra pass, and rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. He has clear upside as a defender and post scorer.”
What to Expect:
Going forward, there should be a lot of optimism about Fannon and his overall growth as a prospect. Not only has he made visible strides over the last calendar year, it feels like the 6-foot-7 forward is still only beginning to scratch the surface of his long-term abilities. He’s already a knockdown shooter with size, length, and mobility, but he has plenty of tools remaining. Fannon knows how to get to his spots and consistently hit jumpers off the catch or dribble. However, he’s arguably at his best when establishing his interior presence and then utilizing his perimeter shooting to cause matchup problems. Fannon capable defender with the strength and instincts to continue developing in that area over the coming years. He’s a solid two-way rebounder with a willingness to make hustle plays and step up in big moments. Fannon will be one to watch progress over the coming years.
