What Was Recently Said:

Next, we look at a player who possesses a nice crossroads between productivity and long-term upside, David Major. He's a very balanced, well-rounded guard prospect with a quality combination of IQ, motor, and skill. Major displayed the ability to create his own shot, set up others, or find opportunities without the ball. He can score from all levels and outwork his assignment on both ends of the floor. Major looks to make hustle plays while naturally doing a little bit of everything on offense. Next in his development process is working on becoming a more consistent spot-up threat, as it would make him even more impactful without the ball. Coach Lathon on Major: 'David has a great feel for the game. I would like to see him improve on his shooting and overall shot-selection, as it'll allow his game to expand.' Major did a lot of things well at camp and should be poised for a very productive summer season.

What To Expect:

After showcasing a healthy amount of ability throughout the summer with Strong Center, Major seems poised to emerge as a leader for Apex Friendship. He's a smart, tough, fairly well-rounded guard prospect with an unselfish mentality and adaptable identity on both ends of the floor. Major can initiate the offense or apply pressure as a creator and scorer. He's able to produce within various different roles and understands how to make an impact without requiring the ball in his hands. Major stands out as a useful defender and rebounder'where he displays a high motor and quality nose for the ball. During the travel ball season, he consistently looked to make the right play and assert himself within the flow of the team structure. Major might be required to do more for the Patriots, which he's certainly capable of accomplishing. Expect him to have a productive junior season.
