What Was Recently Said:

Given his leadership and raw production throughout the weekend, it should be unsurprising to see Chris Gomez on this list. He’s a smart, balanced, well-rounded point guard prospect with the ability to run a team and effectively set the tone on both ends of the floor. Gomez is a smooth creator and overall scoring threat, able to consistently get downhill and generate opportunities for himself and others. Gomez is a quality shooter and playmaker that prioritizes making the right play whenever possible. He utilizes his crafty handle, quick first step, and excellent change of pace to get where he wants on the court. Gomez displays great defensive instincts at the point of attack and forces turnovers at a healthy rate.

What To Expect:

Going forward, there should be a lot of excitement surrounding Gomez and what he’ll bring to Forsyth Country Day. He’s a smart, crafty, fairly dynamic floor general with a polished skillset and the ability to comfortably run a team as the primary ball-handler. Gomez handles the ball with poise, creates for himself and others, and applies efficient scoring pressure from multiple levels. He’s a reliable shooter, both off the catch and dribble, but also gets downhill and consistently makes plays within the paint. Gomez plays with great pace and never gets rushed or hurried. He looks to involve others whenever possible, but also has the scoring prowess to assert himself in various different ways. Gomez plays hard, battles for rebounds, and displays quality instincts as a defender. He’s already quite impressive, yet still possesses a considerable amount of upside—so expect to hear his name a lot over the coming years.
