Just because the LIVE period is over in April, doesn’t mean that Phenom Hoops is stopping their coverage, as we are bringing you a ton of post-event coverage as well throughout the coming weeks. Let’s dive into a few players and teams that we saw at the event, as we shed light on players that performed well throughout.
Upward Stars Upstate Harvey
When getting a small chance to watch Upward Stars Upstate Harvey, there were a few players that we recognized and wanted to check in on. First up, we had a chance to watch 2024 5’10 DJ Harvey Jr., a player that helped lead his team on the court, showcase his speed and quickness, plays with tremendous energy, plays with poise under pressure, and showed that he can create but also knock down shots.
Then you have 2024 6’1 Brady Poole, a player that has certainly proven his ability to fill it up. He was able to knock down shots from a variety of levels and is coming off a season in which he averaged nearly 23 points per game. He consistently was an offensive weapon on the court with his ability to knock down shots.
2024 Braydn Durrah was another name that caught some eyes at the event; the 6’6 prospect is coming off a strong high school season at Greer and really showcased his presence on the court. Whether he was controlling the paint, being active on the glass, or even showing his ability to stretch the court, Durrah was a name that could get more looks this summer. He was a strong presence on both sides of the floor, and consistently got it done on the court.
And lastly, when diving more into the boxscores from the event, 2024 6’2 Kayzzin McDowell was one that proved to be a very good weapon from outside; in one game he was able to knock down six three-pointers to help lead his team.
