Just because the LIVE period is over in April, doesn't mean that Phenom Hoops is stopping their coverage, as we are bringing you a ton of post-event coverage as well throughout the coming weeks.  Let's dive into a few players and teams that we saw at the event, as we shed light on players that performed well throughout.

Upward Stars Pee Dee 16u

Continuing to look at talent around the South Carolina region, we dive into a few players that were able to shine in the bright lights with Upward Stars Pee Dee 16u.  2025 Tahj Lathon and 2025 Shawn Matthews had a strong overall showing at the Phenom Hoops LIVE.

For Lathon, he is a 6'4 prospect that was and has consistently capitalized on his touches. He is a long, wiry, athletic prospect that can create, make plays and finish around the basket, knock down jumpers, and really mix it up nicely on the court.  He also used that same 6'4 frame to help attack the boards.  Lathon was one of the most consistent players on the team throughout the weekend, whether it was showing more of his range, finishing at the basket, or simply impacting the game in other ways.

Matthews was another player that earned attention.' The 6'3 prospect had a really good showing in one game, in which he had a huge second half scoring 17 of his 19 points to help his team earn a one-point victory.' But overall, he scored inside and out, was able to get to his spots, and made strong decisive moves to create scoring opportunities.
