Just because the LIVE period is over in April, doesn't mean that Phenom Hoops is stopping their coverage, as we are bringing you a ton of post-event coverage as well throughout the coming weeks.  Let's dive into a few players and teams that we saw at the event, as we shed light on players that performed well throughout.

Up Next Hoops 17u

  • 2025 Jackson Bye – Bye was one of the younger prospects on the team, but that didn't make him shy in showing what he is able to to provide for the team. In nearly every game he played in, he was one of the go-to leaders offensively for Up Next Hoops, really providing that outside threat with his shot-making ability and range. Throughout the event, he racked up 13 total threes and averaged double-figures at the event. The 6'1 prospect really had a solid showing.
  • 2024 Blake Bartney – He was another player that really was one of the go-to offensive weapons for Up Next Hoops. The 6'2 prospect is one that we have highlighted before, being a key piece off the bench for Millbrook this past season. We had this to say about his game: 'He's developing as a shot-maker but mostly acts as a serviceable backup guard that can defend, score at the rim, and create when needed. He'll be a big part of Millbrook's run at a state championship in the 2023-24 season.' And he is looking like he is off to a great start this summer, scoring the ball effectively, making and creating opportunities for himself, and being a consistent threat on the floor.
  • 2023 Zane Cogdell – He was another player that was fairly consistent throughout the event. He is a quick, downhill guard that finishes well around the rim. He is also capable of knocking down shots from the perimeter. He really stepped up in two games in the second half to help his team in two victories, as he was able to score in a variety of ways and have big halves to help his team to wins.
  • 2023 Caleb Willingham – Willingham was the size for this team, as his 6'5 frame has been a big part of his game whether it was this past high school season at Fike or with Up Next Hoops. This past season, he finished the season averaging a double-double, and you can see that he can make an impact on the glass, showcase his skill set with the ball in his hands, and be an effective presence all around the basket.
