On November 7th, Phenom Hoop Report will be hosting our third annual High School Jamboree at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Over 30 teams will be making their way to Tournament Town to showcase their talents to a plethora of scouts, college coaches, and passionate fans. After thorough review of the field, our team decided to put together a little “sneak preview” of individual players and teams that people need to keep a close eye on.

TEAM:

Durham Academy (Durham, NC)

HEAD COACH:

Tim Mckenna

2014-2015 RECORD:

19-11

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

Bryant Randleman:

Bryant Randleman was a player we weren’t exactly familiar with last season. We heard nothing but positive things regarding the kid, but we definitely wanted to see him in action before drawing any immediate assumptions. After watching Randleman put on an absolute show this summer with Team Quest, it was apparent to us that we needed to add this young gun to our radar. Randleman is a smooth, lefty PG with phenomenal vision for a kid his age. He has terrific handles, a beautiful jumper, and an abnormal amount of athletic ability. If Randleman can get hot early and knock down a few clutch shots for his team, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this guy gain some national attention after this weekend.

Davis Rourk:

Davis Rourk is the type of player that all coaches love to have on their roster. The 6’6” senior is an absolute workhouse. After watching the Cavaliers star put in work at the Grassroots TOC this past April, we immediately knew he has what it takes to play with the big boys. Rourk is a walking double-double. Whenever he steps foot onto the hardwood, people know things are about to get serious. Offensively, this guy is a brute. He has soft touch, decent footwork, and a high basketball IQ to separate himself from the rest of the pack. On defense, Rourk is a force around the basket. His lengthy frame and abnormal bounce allow him to create endless amounts of opportunities for his squad. Look for this hoss to have a solid weekend for his squad.

OTHER NOTABLE PLAYERS:

Jorden Davis

Caleb Vanderburg

Rob Jenkins
