On November 7th, Phenom Hoop Report will be hosting our third annual High School Jamboree at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Over 30 teams will be making their way to Tournament Town to showcase their talents to a plethora of scouts, college coaches, and passionate fans. After thorough review of the field, our team decided to put together a little “sneak preview” of individual players and teams that people need to keep a close eye on.
TEAM:
Forsyth Country Day (Lewisville, NC)
HEAD COACH:
Howard West
2014-2015 RECORD:
16-18
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Tripp Greene
Had a tremendous freshman campaign, playing in all 32 games last season and averaging 7.7 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, and 1.1 assists per game. He should be a key contributor for Forsyth Country Day this season, as he should be a leader for this team.
Bruno Solomun
Solomon is a 6’11 bruiser down low for Forsyth Country Day and should be a solid piece for the Furies down in the paint. Solomun holds offers from Delaware, St. Joseph’s, Delaware State, and Charlotte.
Nicholas Evtimov
Evtimov is a tremendous freshman that certainly should start grabbing the attention of several programs early. Nicholas is still early in his development but has a high Basketball IQ and is crafty around the rim. This young man is really fundamentally sound in his game and already has good size at 6’7. He also is a very talented passer. Should be a tremendous freshman and one to watch for the Furies this season.
Matt Edwards
Under the radar kind of guy that has the attention of our analysts at Phenom Hoops. He is a 6’4 prospect that should be catching the attention of Division II or Division III programs. Last year, he averaged 10.8 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, and 1.9 steals, proving he is a stat stuffer.
OTHER NOTABLE PLAYERS:
Chris Curry
Grant Cain
