Michael Moore

Phenom Hoops hit the road to North Rowan in Spencer, North Carolina to take in an intriguing matchup in the Yadkin Valley 1A Conference.  The Bears of Chatham Central came out strong, using their zone defense to be disruptive, creating turnovers, and attacking with their guard play.

It was a tough day offensively for North Rowan, as shots just didn't fall for the Cavaliers. Chatham Central developed a double-digit lead and came out strong in the second half to increase its lead to 20. It was a strong performance on the road, as Chatham Central secured the 54-30 victory on Monday.

2021 6'4 Michael Moore (Chatham Central): Moore is a three-sport athlete in basketball, baseball, and football.  He informed us that he has had interest from a few programs for football but he is having a solid season on the court, averaging 23 points this season for the Bears. Moore plays with such a smooth, high IQ feel, making the right decision on the floor and taking what the defense gives him.  He showed a fantastic release as well as some bounce in his game, throwing down an impressive transition dunk as well.

Brandon White

2022 6'10 Brandon White (North Rowan): White is a name that has been grabbing the attention of a few with his impressive performances but unfortunately it wasn't the best night for him. However, you have to be intrigued with his blend of size, wingspan, and mobility on the floor.  He was able to show it at times at the rim, as well as covering ground to block a 3-pointer.

2021 Preston Cox (Chatham Central): The speedy point guard created trouble on both ends of the floor, especially with his motor.  Offensively, he displayed crisp handles as well as surprising speed, being able to break North Rowan's press several times.  With his aggressive nature, he attacked the rim at times, knocked down a three, and helped find his teammates for open shots.
