Opportunity has a way of presenting itself at the right time. Phenom Hoops is excited to announce that opportunity by adding Jay Lawson to our staff as Director of Lady Phenom. Although born and raised in North Carolina, he attended Brentwood High School in Tennessee before eventually earning a basketball scholarship to Lipscomb. Following his collegiate career, Lawson shifted towards the training and coaching side of things for TSG Hoops. In addition to operating as a personal trainer and director for the program, he has also accumulated five years of coaching experience at the middle and high school levels.
When asked about his vision for Lady Phenom, Lawson stated, “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to provide exposure and coverage to female athletes to help their goals of playing at the next level.” Between his work ethic and knowledge surrounding the game, he’ll certainly be an asset in the ever-growing industry of girls’ basketball. While Lady Phenom has consistently worked to grow coverage and expand its brand, adding Lawson should make 2025 the biggest year thus far. His dynamic will not only provide greater reach throughout the state, but his insight will add a completely new dimension to the fold.
