Kuron Coleman (6'4, 145 Freshman – Woodside High School, Newport News VA)'''''' 3.3 GPA

Kuron possesses intriguing upside as he combines great length and wingspan with excellent shooting mechanics, a quick release and a knack for scoring. He's an efficient player, combines shot-making skills with the ability to handle and dish to the open man, takes good shots either from deep where he is comfortable and hits at a high percentage or when using the one and two dribble pull-up getting into the lane. The left-hander’s ability to consistently knock down the three point shot with great range is his strength but he has become very effective at taking the ball to the basket on a straight line and is extremely fluid for a player his size, possessing long, rangy strides and nice quickness both on the drive and getting off the floor for the pull up jumper.' Also is very intelligent about the way he moves off the ball and finds open looks.' Kuron demonstrates significant potential as a shot creator as he’s a competent ball-handler at his size, showing sound footwork and improving variety off the dribble. Knows how to take advantage of over aggressive closeouts, mixes in jab-steps, shot fakes, and hesitation moves to create space off the bounce as the threat of his jumper commands respect. His effectiveness off the bounce is bolstered because he is both a willing and able passer, seeing the floor well and being very unselfish. Defensively Kuron does a good job containing the dribble, maintaining good defensive posture and possessing good lateral movement and very good footwork. Kuron has a tremendous upside and as his body continues to fill out and he becomes more explosive he will be a player capable of impacting games in a variety of ways on both ends of the floor. Certainly a prospect coaches should keep an eye on!
