The 6th Annual Phenom High School Jamboree will take place Saturday, November 3rd at Northwest Guilford High School and Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. This event has always gathered some of the top private and public school teams in the state and this year is no exception. 40 teams and 60 games will be played in an exhibition format. Now, let's take a closer look at one of the teams participating in the event. Today, we will take a closer look at Elevation Prep coached by Rufus Brown. Coach Brown gave us a recap of the players that will be making an impact for his team this season.
6’0 2019 ERIC WELCH'
Eric is a high motor sharp shooting point guard that excels on both ends of the court. He is a excellent floor general and excels in clutch situation usually being called on to take the money shot in close games. He has a 3.4 GPA 'and is been contacted by schools such ad Randolph- Macon , Covenant College and various D2 & D3 programs. Eric will elevate all players around him and any program he attends.' Eric is one of the three 'captains for ELEVATION PREP.' Eric is the epitome of what a STUDENT athlete should be and a even better person than he is a ball player. No one on the team will out work him PERIOD.
6’2 2019 JARON' RILEY
Jaron is an extremely athletic 2- way shooting guard with skills and great feet defensively.' Although he is a high flyer with “cat like” agility he can score effortlessly on all 3 levels.' He has a 3.25 GPA and the ultimate team mate. He had a injury last year but now already this season is being looked at by numerous D2 & low D1 programs with every passing week as he is being seen. Jaron is one of our captains for Elevation prep.' He is one of the best kept secrets in Charlotte but will be known by all by Christmas. Jaron will be one of the most talked about STEALS for which ever program lucky enough to acquire him.
6’4 2020 CEDRIC FARRISH
Cedric is a long smooth graceful player with a extremely high basketball IQ. Cedric is a 2- way player who can score on all 3- levels. His versatility allows him to play the 2 thru 5 positions. Cedric is one our captains for Elevation prep.' Cedric is a great person with a team first attitude and approach and we are starting to get recruiting inquiries about him recently.
