The Phenom Grassroots TOC is this weekend in Rock Hill/Fort Mill, as it is the first LIVE Period with Phenom Hoops this season. The talent pool runs deep throughout and we want to give college coaches a leg up on who to watch and who will be in action. Here are a few players to check out for each team, presented by the head coach.

Jayquan Curry

5’11” G
Elite scorer averaged over 24 points for three consecutive seasons in HS. At his best when attacking the basket, getting paint touches, and seeking contact off two feet in the lane. Defends using the same principles as many colleges, and is familiar with the terminology to be effective immediately.
Christen Battle

5’9” G
Tough guard whose best attribute is his IQ. Can facilitate, pass, and knock down shots from three-point range with consistency. At his best in P&R situations, especially with a big willing to screen hard and run to the rim. With added strength, has all the tools to take a big step in college.
TJ Ragland

6’2” G
Recently offered by Brunswick CC. Solid defensive stance and great anticipation on and off the ball. Set his school record for steals in a season during the 2022-2023 campaign. Creative finisher at the rim and a solid mid-range shooter. With strength, has an opportunity to extend his range to 3.
Jeremy Daniel

6’2” G
MAJOR athlete. Will have the potential for sets to be run for him at the next level based on his above-the-rim ability alone. Best when shooting in catch-and-shoot situations. With increased court awareness, has all the physical tools to be effective.
Tre Hardie

Most versatile defender of the unsigned senior group. Has the quickness to effectively guard smaller players, but the size to defend players much taller. Loves to attack the offensive glass and create out of the mid-range. Easily above and rim, and with consistency can add three-point range to his arsenal.
