The Phenom Grassroots TOC is this weekend in Rock Hill/Fort Mill, as it is the first LIVE Period with Phenom Hoops this season. The talent pool runs deep throughout and we want to give college coaches a leg up on who to watch and who will be in action. Here are a few players to check out for each team, presented by the head coach.
CC Elite 2022
Player Name: A.J. Cook
Class: Senior
Position: Combo Guard
Game Review: Sharpshooter from two-time state champions, Weddington High School. This unsigned senior is considered one of the best pure shooters in the state. With his high IQ, unselfishness, and fundamentals he is more than capable of playing either guard position. 4.4 GPA
Player Name: Tyree Bracey
Class: Senior
Position: Forward
Game Review: 6’8” unsigned senior for North Meck. Bracey can really stretch the floor. He can really shoot the 3 and can put it on the floor when needed. Excellent athlete and shot-blocker just waiting for the right opportunity to break out.
Player Name: Jaylen Jones
Class: Senior
Position: Point Guard
Game Review: This unsigned senior from Charlotte Latin is an absolute freak athlete with lightning speed and a 38 inch vertical! He is a lockdown defender who takes pride in his defense. Jayen is an energizer who never seems to get tired. He is excellent at getting to the basket and finishing and an adequate shooter.
