We were coming down in the NCHSAA playoffs, as Salisbury and Reidsville battled it out in the Elite Eight. It was a slow game for much of the first half, with plenty of fouls to go around for both teams. Both teams were tied up at 11 at the end of the first quarter, but 2026 Dionte Neal was the one player that came out strong with nine points in the first quarter. But Salisbury was able to slow down the pace and make it tough for Reidsville in the second quarter, as they took a 20-15 halftime lead. In the second half, around the five-minute mark, 2024 Juke Harris picked up his fourth foul which certainly changed the game up, as Neal went off for a quick 8-0 run to give his team the lead. He continued his strong play, finishing with 13 points in the quarter to give Reidsville a 37-27 lead after three. Even though Harris did what he could when he got back in the fourth quarter, Reidsville was able to make enough plays from Neal and 2026 Kendre Harrison in the fourth, eventually sealing the win from the line.

Final: Reidsville 59 – Salisbury 50

Stats:
Reidsville: Dionte Neal 34pts/ Kendre Harrison 13pts
Salisbury: Juke Harris 21pts

Standouts:
2026 Dionte Neal (Reidsville): Neal was something special in this game, going for 34 points and doing whatever he wanted.  Continue to say that Neal is one of the fastest players in the state of North Carolina, and showed that in this game. His ability to create off the dribble is impressive, attacking out in transition, and simply blowing by defenders to get to the basket is impressive.  He also showed that he isn't afraid to knock down shots from the perimeter, hitting multiple threes, as well as his ability to get to the free throw line. Big-time performance from the freshman.

2026 Kendre Harrison (Reidsville): Certainly, Harrison has the attention of college football coaches, but he should also have the attention of many college basketball coaches. There is just something about Harrison and his presence on the court. Incredible hands and is so nimble as a forward, yet he brings so much power, is a monster on the boards, and really brings a strong presence defensively. An athletic big man that should have his pick of either sport.

2024 Jayden Juke Harris: It was a tough night foul-wise for Harris, but the 6'6 prospect continues to show his ability to create his own shot and use his size well to his advantage. Harris continues to show that he can knock down shots from various levels, and use his size to score over defenders or find ways to get to the line. He did just that on his way to 21 points for his team.
