Phenom Hoops checked out another game in North Carolina, as Panther Creek traveled to take on Sanderson. Panther Creek came in with a 3-1 record but Sanderson was hoping to take home a strong home win. Starting out though, Panther Creek was able to find success with their outside shot and as well as transition, quickly jumping out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter.  They improved that lead quickly behind the 3-point shot from David Tator and the scoring impact from Jordan Snell, along with others.  Sanderson struggled at times to find the hoop, eventually finding themselves down 42-17 at halftime. Panther Creek was able to maintain that lead and surpass the 30-point mark in the third, eventually cruising to a road win 75-46.

Panther Creek: 20-22-17-16 : 75
Sanderson: 9-8-10-19 : 46

Stats:
Panther Creek: Jordan Snell 21pts/ David Tator 12pts/ James Daly 10pts, 4blks/ Amari Odom 10pts
Sanderson: Nathan Fife 11pts/ Patrick Dalton 7pts/ Dawson Fennema 7pts

Standouts/Notes:

2022 Jordan Snell (Panther Creek): The senior had a terrific night on the road, going for 21 points to lead the way, shooting 9-for-17, and knocking down three 3-pointers in the win.' Snell did a great job in scoring in a variety of ways, showing his pull-up game, getting to his spots, but also moving without the ball to find his shot from outside.' Really showed a smooth, fluid shot and touch on his shot.

Liked what I saw out of 2023 Amari Odom (Panther Creek) as well.  Odom was simply making plays on both sides of the ball, knocking down shots from three and attacking when he could, finding and setting up his teammates well, and making an impact on the defensive end, creating steals and pushing in transition. Just liked his overall impact on the court.

Two other prospects that impressed for Panther Creek were 2022 6'8 James Daly, who showed good touch around the basket, was active on the boards, and really made an impact in this game as a shot-blocker with four.' 2023 David Tator really shot the ball well from the perimeter, going 4-for-5 from three and showing a confident shot from outside.

Sanderson has a few young prospects to watch out for down the road.  2024 Patrick Dalton is one that has had a solid year so far and can be a threat from outside while 2025 6'0 Nathan Fife stayed aggressive, was able to create and get downhill, and make some plays in a variety of ways.
