Phenom tuned in to what was a big game in the Greensboro area between two rivals, as Grimsley traveled to Page for a showdown.' Both teams started to get into their rhythm, but it was Grimsley that was able to deliver the first punch, as the three-ball started to fall early. It is what helped them get out to a 21-12 first-quarter lead.' 'Page though started to chip away at that lead, really attacking and getting into the paint with their guard play.' The Pirates were able to cut the lead down to seven, with Grimsley only leading 28-21.' Second half though, the Whirlies were able to quickly expand that lead to double-digits and more, as Page struggled to find any offense and Grimsley continued to knock down shots and attack.' We quickly went from a seven-point game to Grimsley leading 49-26 at the end of the third.' The Whirlies never looked back from then on, as they continued to stay aggressive and eventually took home an impressive 75-39 victory.

Final: Grimsley 75 ' Page 39

Stats: Nick Keith 21pts, Jaylon Bumpass 12pts, Zacch Wiggins 12pts, Alex Taylor 11pts
Page: Jerron Blackwell 7pts, Kadyn Turner-Scott 7pts, William Burton 9pts

Standouts:

2026 Nick Keith (Grimsley): What a show from this freshman, as he stepped up big on the road.  Keith was tremendous and played with a ton of confidence, knocking down shots from three early on but finishing tough baskets in the second half as well.  The freshman guard made a name for himself in a big game.

2024 Jaylon Bumpass (Grimsley) was another go-to leader on the team, being aggressive and assertive in getting downhill, finishing strong around the basket, knocking down shots, and being a threat from the perimeter. At 6'3, he used his size and athleticism well to make strong plays.

2025 Zacch Wiggins (Grimsley): The sophomore has had a strong season and even though he had others really step up, you can see the flashes in Wiggins game.  Really like his versatility on the court, using his 6'5 frame to be able to be effective outside, put on the floor and get to the basket, and be strong on the boards as well.  A lot to like about his game.

2025 Jerron Blackwell (Page): It was a tough game for Page overall, but Blackwell continues to be one that grabs my attention with his ability to penetrate, use his strong frame to attack and get downhill, and find ways to finish.
