The stars were out on Monday, as we started the day with two national powerhouses in Bishop Gorman taking on Camden. Camden came out extremely strong behind Kentucky commit big man 2023 Aaron Bradshaw, who was carving out space and finishing at the rim extremely well. His play allowed Camden to jump out to a 21-5 first-quarter lead, and they didn’t slow down there. Bishop Gorman continued to struggle to score the ball but was able to get to the line more, eventually scoring 15 second-quarter points but Camden was efficient and effective, as they led 38-20.

Second half, it was about even throughout with Gorman getting more going offensively led by ’24 Jase Richardson but they couldn’t slow down Camden, as they continued to maintain their lead throughout the third quarter and well into the fourth quarter. Midway through the fourth, this one was certainly in hand, as Camden made a statement on national television with a 90-54 victory.

Stats:
Bishop Gorman: Jase Richardson 14pts/ Chris Nwuli 13pts, 4rebs/ Jaxon Richardson 8pts
Camden: DJ Wagner 14pts, 6rebs/ Billy Richmond 18pts, 5rebs/ Aaron Bradshaw 13pts, 4rebs

Standouts:

2023 Aaron Bradshaw (Camden): Bradshaw continues to show why he is one of the top-ranked players in his class, as the Kentucky commit was extremely effective in using his 7-foot frame.  Bradshaw continues to flourish around the basket, showing terrific feel and touch, flourishing at the rim, and also moving extremely well on both sides of the floor. He has such a nice feel and skillset, and he is extremely tough to slow down with how agile he is and his impact.

2024 Jase Richardson (Bishop Gorman): Richardson, ranked as one of the top guards in the country for his class, was strong in creating, knocking down tough shots, and scoring the ball.  Richardson plays big and understands how to create space, score well over defenders, body up opponents offensively, and knock down shots from multiple levels. Really like his feel and ability to create on his own, and plays at a nice pace.

2024 Billy Richmond (Camden): Another viewing of Richmond, another time I walk away impressed. There is just something about his game that you have to like; at 6’7, Richmond can be an effective weapon in a variety of ways. Can play, operate, and defend multiple positions, he is relentless in getting to the rim and scoring, but also can find other ways to score as well. Athletic, versatile, and simply an x-factor on the floor, Richmond will be a great get for a program in the coming years.

2025 Chris Nwuli (Bishop Gorman): This is my second viewing of Nwuli and it is so easy to see why he is coveted already and will be coveted even more by programs. His energy, his motor, his hands, his power and strength, and his overall feel are impressive. Nwuli moves so well and does a great job in putting it on the deck, making plays, attacking the boards, and just outworking opponents. He is a rising star nationally and will be high-coveted by schools around the country.
