Standouts
2028 Brelyn Moses (Rocky Mount)
Moses was one that I’ve been wanting to watch more and see how his game has continued to develop. The 6’5 freshman has been having a strong season and you can easily see why he is posting those strong numbers early on. With his blend of frame, size, and athleticism at an early age, he is at his best when he is attacking downhill, getting to the paint and the rim, and scoring in the paint. He understands how to create for himself to get inside, finishing strong through and around defenders. Moses still has room for growth with his overall game and expanding his scoring, but you can easily see that this is a young man who has a ton of potential overall. Finished with 23 points in the win.
2028 Semaj Parker (Rocky Mount)
Another freshman who grabbed my attention was Parker. Listed at 6’2 and as a forward, Parker played bigger than his size, understanding how to be active, score well around the basket, be an effective rebounder, and play with good energy throughout. I really liked the flashes that I saw with his production on the court, as he is a freshman to jot down and monitor in the coming years.
2025 Anthony Jones (Rocky Mount)
Jones was the other piece as far as production with Moses. He was assertive with his offensive game, attacked the defense and got into the paint, was able to attack the glass and create opportunities, and finished through contact to get to the free throw line at times as well. He just seemed to be everywhere on the court in this game, making plays both offensively and defensively.
2027 Josiah Rice (Bunn)
From Bunn, two guys earned my attention. Rice was one of them as the 2027 prospect gave you good flashes of his ability to get to this spots, knock down shots with good range, and be a valuable asset offensively in other areas. When diving more into his stats, one can see that he likes to find his spots behind the arc and when he is hitting, he can really help this team.
2026 Isaac Bailey (Bunn)
Bailey was the most productive on the court for Bunn, as he played with terrific energy, competed, made those extra-effort types of players, and just found ways to help his team. He ran the floor well, created extra opportunities off the glass, and finished well around the basket or got to the free-throw line when he could.
