Nothing like Championship Sunday, as teams looked to cap off a terrific weekend of basketball in Rock Hill with a little hardware from the Phenom G3 Showcase. Overall, the competition was fantastic and players came to compete, as we recap each championship showdown from the event.
In the last game of the day, DBGH and Team HOPE 2023 McGee went to battle and that may have been an understatement, as this one went back and forth throughout as they left it all out on the court. Kaleb Parker came out strong for Team HOPE, scoring 10 first-half points while others got involved as well. Matthew Kirby countered that with 9 first-half points for DBGH. In a neck-and-neck game, it came down to the final seconds which is only fitting for the last game of the night. Team HOPE had the late lead but DBGH had once last chance but just came up short in the end, as Team HOPE 2023 McGee won 60-58.
