We continued in the day, as Kings Mountain and East Lincoln took the floor and squared up against each other. Two intriguing talents to watch out for, both were looking to make plays early on led by their stars. 2026 Bradley Floyd was getting out early and making plays for himself and others, but 2025 Jackson Fannon was knocking down shots for East Lincoln. Kings Mountain was able to take the narrow lead at the end of the first quarter and maintained that heading into halftime, 36-32. Second half was much of the same as the first, as both teams seemed to be trading baskets and making strong plays off the dribble. Kings Mountain didn’t give up its lead, but they also couldn’t put away East Lincoln, leading 50-45 at the end of the third quarter.
With East Lincoln battling and staying close, it was the fourth quarter that changed the game as East Lincoln was able to make and create plays, as well as get to the free throw line quite a bit, ultimately outscoring Kings Mountain 23-12 in the fourth quarter and earning the 68-62 victory.
