Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player. Here is the latest commitment.

Player: CJ Purdie
Class: 2025
Committed to: Montana State

What Has Been Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Next, we look at a player who possesses an intriguing crossroads between productivity and long-term upside, CJ Purdie. He’s a long, wiry guard prospect who can fill it up as a scorer from all three levels. Purdie handles the ball well and can reliably create for himself off the bounce, which allows him to finish, pull-up from midrange, or assert his jumper from beyond the arc. That being said, he’s a great cutter and spot-up option who doesn’t necessarily require the ball in his hands in order to make an impact. He defends his position, rebounds at a solid rate, and fills in the gaps properly on offense. Next in his development process is working to get stronger, as it would make him a better finisher through contact. Coach Adams on Purdie: “CJ is a solid scorer. He needs to talk more defensively and play with more energy on that end of the floor. He displayed a positive attitude and accepted coaching well.” Purdie enjoyed a solid showing at camp, and should be a strong contributor for Combine over the coming years.”

“Purdie is an intriguing name to keep an eye on in the Class of 2025, especially with how smooth he can operate, and his ability to not only make and create but also his ability to play off the ball and knock down shots from behind the arc. Confident shooter with range.”

“Purdie is a name we have mentioned quite a few times, even before many had heard of him. Watching Purdie and Combine Academy this summer, he was a standout countless times and really showed his offensive ability. With this Combine team, Purdie shows a fluid shot-making ability, has great size for his age, creates well with his dribble, and can step up when needed. Just earned his first offer and could be a name that only continues to rise.”
