The next wave of hoops stars have officially arrived on the scene, many underclassmen jumped on our radar and stood out above the pack. Our July exposure period is pitting some of the top talent from all over the country against one another; this is the time to get noticed by scouts and college coaches alike!

Sean Sims: 6’3

Class: 2020

Club: Team Loaded

Sims suited up for the Boo Williams squad and threw on his school threads as Team Loaded borrowed Word of God’s purple and golds. This is a testament to Sims durability and conditioning. He’s gained a lot of confidence over the last year and it’s really showing on the floor. During our Champion showcase Sims played extremely well on the offensive end, he shot the ball at a high percentage, as well as found ways into the lane for easy finishes over defenders. Sims proved to be clutch when he nailed a three from Curry land at the buzzer to help Boo Williams pick up a huge W. Sims looks like he’ll develop into a solid defender down the road, he’s already got natural shot blocking instincts and the length to be disruptive.

Jaylen McDonald: 6’2

Class: 2021

Club: Boo Williams

McDonald is scary good at his age; this guy is already an elite passer with impressive court vision. McDonald continuously hit teammates with full court outlet passes and no looks while running the show, the young guard got buckets with ease from virtually anywhere on the court. It was impressive to see such polish on a prospect yet to play a high school game, McDonald will be one of the most sought after eighth graders in the state after a dominate summer where he played up an age group. McDonald is a natural athlete and possess great size for the point guard position all signs lead to him becoming a high major prospect.

Carter Whitt 6’1

Class: 2021

Club: Team Loaded

Whitt is already an established varsity player and has generated tons of buzz on the travel ball circuit, he’s one of the best passers in his class. Whitt showed versatility at the showcase he can push the tempo, as well as run half court sets when needed. Team Loaded plays a tough schedule on the Adidas Circuit Whitt has proven to be a capable scorer and elite assist man against some bigger and more experienced guards. Whitt oozes potential and the “Jason Williams” comparisons deserve if you have seen him live. He has a saucy handle and plays the game with serious swagger, Whitt could be a household name sooner than later.

Tristan Maxwell

Class: 2020

Club: Team CP3

Maxwell is a talented combo guard at this stage and offensively he’s effective from all three levels. During our showcase Maxwell was lights out from deep, showed a polished midrange game, and distributed the ball when he was placed in a playmaker role. Everyone knows Maxwell comes from a great pedigree being the son of a two time NBA champion, but the younger Maxwell is making a name for himself early and it doesn’t look like he has plans to be under anyone’s shadow. Florida and Wake Forest have shown interest among other schools

Myles Tate 5’10

Class: 2020

Club: Team Loaded 704

Turner was one of the quickest guards we saw all weekend he’s very hard to stay in front of off the dribble. Team Loaded 704 15U is full of talent but Turner could be the best of the group, he showed ability finishing at the cup and scoring from midrange. Defensively Tate is a dog he gets in the oppositions chest and makes them earn every inch. Turner has a high motor and uses the entire floor well; he’s a team guy and really gave off an unselfish demeanor. Turner will run an offense and help win games because he does not make many mistakes or force the issue.
