The Phenom Challenge is one of the biggest events around the region and in the country, as 180 teams look to compete at the highest level.

We are expecting a HUGE turnout for this event in Spartanburg, SC on April 26-28. So, Phenom Hoop Report wants to do our part in starting the buzz for the event.

Players and teams, of all ages, will have a chance to play in front of college coaches throughout the weekend. But here are a few players to watch out for, as we preview teams that will be competing.

Tyshun Briscoe-6'0 PG Lakeside HS, Augusta, GA

-Ty is a quick point guard that will do whatever it takes to help the team. Had a game with 29 earlier this spring. Can score on all 3 levels. Finds teammates well. Can also defend well.

-Level: LM/D2 Interest: Catawba

Christian Chambers-6'2 Combo Evans HS, Augusta, GA

-Christian is a scoring combo that is looking for his offense. Very crafty using fakes and looks to finish through contact at the rim. Can score from 3 levels. Sneaky athletically. Long arms and athleticism allow him to have a lot of potential as a lockdown defender. Interest: NC A&T, Augusta, Presbyterian, College of Charleston

Nick Brenegan-6'1 Combo Wade Hampton HS, Greenville, SC

-Not many people play harder than Nick. He's willing to play on or off the ball. Can really shoot it. Had 26 in a game at Phenom QC Showcase with 6 threes. Tough as nails. Competes for every possession. Takes pride defensively and rebounds well for a guard. D2 Interest: Carson Newman, Mars Hill

Case Roach-6'5 Wing Travelers Rest HS, Travelers Rest, SC

-Case is as versatile as they come. Can shoot from three, can get to the basket and finish with contact. Size allows him to guard 1-5 in certain instances. Can push in transition. Interest: Wofford, Furman, North Greenville, Mars Hill

Sam Brown-6'3 Wing Travelers Rest HS, Travelers Rest, SC

-Sam is a versatile wing. Plays hard and takes pride defensively. Shooter that doesn't see a bad shot. Whether he's made several in a row or in a slump, he thinks his next shot is going in. Interest: Mars Hill, North Greenville
