The Phenom Challenge is one of the biggest events around the region and in the country, as 180 teams look to compete at the highest level.

We are expecting a HUGE turnout for this event in Spartanburg, SC on April 26-28.' So, Phenom Hoop Report wants to do our part in starting the buzz for the event.

Players and teams, of all ages, will have a chance to play in front of college coaches throughout the weekend.' But here are a few players to watch out for, as we preview teams that will be competing.

RJ Milliken #5 (Class: 2023 | Position: Point Guard | Height: 5’6)

RJ is a Point Guard with a high basketball IQ a real Coach on the floor with good ball handling skills and a clutch and consistent 3 point shot. Relentless on-ball defender.

Dillon Fader #2 (Class: 2023 | Position: Combo Guard | Height: 5’8)

Dillon is a Combo guard that can score from anywhere on the floor. Can beat anyone off the dribble, able to push the ball baseline to baseline. Defends the perimeter and the post.

Russell Hawkins #22 (Class: 2023 | Position: Guard | Height: 5’11)

Russell is a scoring machine. Great mid-range jump shot. Really fast and quick, with an awesome first step and finish. Great defender and shot blocker.

Alex Bates #13 (Class: 2023 | Position: Guard | Height: 5’11)

Alex is an outstanding shooter. Knocks down the 3 in waves. Quick release and can also drive to the basket and finish with contact. Projected to be 6’6″.

Bayliss Williams #8 (Class: 2023 | Position: Wing | Height: 6’3)

Bayliss is a wing player that has transitioned from the post to the wing. He has a sweet stroke and shoots the three extremely well. Mid-range is almost automatic.

Stephen Bloodworth #24 (Class: 2022 | Position: Guard/Forward | Height: 6’2)

Steve is a high motor player that loves to have the ball in his hands. He can take you off the dribble and get to the basket at will. He keeps defenders honest with a consistent outside shot.

Sabastian Taylor #23 (Class: 2022 | Position: Forward | Height: 6’3)

Sabastian is one of the best rebounders in his age class. He goes after every offensive and defensive rebound with persistence. His motor makes him very difficult to box out and gets most of his points in the paint and from the free throw line.

Christian Rudisell #3 (Class: 2021 | Position: Guard | Height: 6’1)

Christian is a tough guard that can get to the basket anytime he wants. He can play with or without the ball and makes his teammates better by drawing the help every time he gets in the paint. His jump shot is improving which adds another element to his game. He is a high-level defender and normally matches up on the other team’s best guard.

Quinton Scheuermann #35 (Class: 2021 | Position: Forward | Height: 6’9)

Quinton will be a reclass Junior next year and with 2 more years, he has a very high upside. He is an above average shooter that stretches the floor. On the defensive end, he impacts shots and makes it difficult for the other team to finish at the rim.

Najir is a tough guard with a great shot. He handles the ball well and can beat any defender off the dribble.
