
Game 5, begins bracket play for the day with a star-studded matchup between Concord Academy and Cannon. The first quarter was a back-and-forth game until Cannon pulled away towards the end by 8 points, 17-25. Entering the second quarter Concord Academy started slow but picked it up towards the middle, cutting it to a 6-point deficit. Cannon quickly responded with a 3 by Austin Swartz to bring the lead to 9. Concord Academy, still fighting, went into half with a 7-point deficit 34-41.
The third quarter underway its led by Isaiah Henry and Sean Birmingham combing for the first 7 points to start the half. Cannon extends the lead to 14 before Concord Academy chips away at the lead once again bringing it within 4 points to end the quarter, 51-55. Fourth quarter is led by Henry once again. Concord Academy did not give up, cutting the deficit to 1 point with 2 minutes left to go in the game. Concord Academy’s Noah Van Bibber ties the game 70-70 with seconds left but Cannon’s Austin Swartz comes down and hits an and 1 jumper to bring the score to 73-70. Concord Academy is unable to come back in time leaving the win to Cannon, 73-77
