Coach: Ricky Rich

#6: 5'7 '25 Blue Simmons (Christ School)

Starting things off, we look at a player that showcased a pretty adaptable identity within the flow of the action, Blue Simmons. He's a young, unselfish, team-first guard prospect with a high motor and the ability to create for himself and others. Simmons is a capable penetrator with vision and useful ball-handling skills, which allows him to finish with either hand or set up teammates with regularity. Next in his development process is working to improve his rebounding presence, as it would allow him to immediately push the break in transition. Coach Rich on Simmons: 'Blue offers great effort on the court. With growth and speed as he gets older, he will be able to hold his own as a passer, ball-handler, and shooter. Blue has good IQ and knows what to do on the court.' Simmons enjoyed a nice showing at camp and could be a prospect to keep an eye on going forward.

#7: 5'7 '27 Haiden Collier (Myrtle Beach)

Next, we look at a player that performed quite well despite being the youngest camper on this team, Haiden Collier. He's a smart, young guard prospect with a long, wiry frame and strong balance between skill and athleticism. Collier naturally seems to affect the action on either side of the ball, displaying a high motor, unselfish mentality, and well-rounded skillset. He's a reliable shooting threat with the ability to effortlessly attack off the bounce. Collier also moves well without the ball and simply understands how to find success on the court. Next tin his development process is working to get stronger, as it would make him more physically imposing on either end of the floor. Coach Rich on Collier: 'Haiden is long, athletic, and very coachable. As he gets older, developing more skill and strength will be important. He provides great effort and shows a lot of desire on the court.' Collier did a variety of things well at camp and has the tools to develop into a very enticing player over the years. 

#62: 6'0 '24 Brailun Thomas (Spartanburg)

Moving onto a player that made a pretty lasting impression with his toughness and overall wining mentality, Brailun Thomas. He's a smart, rugged, well-rounded guard prospect with quickness, unselfishness, and the ability to touch the paint at will. Thomas is a reliable finisher and respectable perimeter shooter, but can also create for others with relative ease. He's an excellent rebounder for his position and shows a clear willingness to do the dirty work whenever possible. Thomas excelled within his role on both ends of the floor. Next in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would allow for even more scoring opportunities to arise. Coach Rich on Thomas: 'As Brailun grows and continues to put in work, he will be a very solid player. He has a great IQ, shoots the ball very well, and displayed nice instincts as a defender.' Thomas made an impact in multiple different ways at camp and should emerge as a strong contributor for Spartanburg sooner than later. 

#70: 6'0 '24 Landon Sprouse (Boiling Springs)

Continuing onto a player that was able to consistently found ways to contribute within the flow of the action, Landon Sprouse. He's a young, wiry guard prospect with an excellent spot-up presence and the ability to knock down perimeter jumpers at a reliable rate. Sprouse scores the ball with efficiency from all levels while providing great energy as a defender and rebounder. He works hard and plays unselfish, consistently looking to fill in the gaps however possible. Next in his development process is working to get quicker, as it would make him an even better penetrating threat. Coach Rich on Sprouse: 'Landon is solid at everything. As he gets older and bigger, he will hard for opponents to contain. Landon shoots the ball well and doesn't force anything. He's a very coachable kid with a great attitude and passion for the game.' Sprouse enjoyed a strong showing at camp and should be able to emerge as a contributor for Boiling Springs over the coming years. 

#78: 6'2 '23 David Tator (Panther Creek)

Next, we look at a player that seemed to quietly find production within the flow of the action, David Tator. He's a tough, unselfish, high-motor guard prospect with a nice combination of IQ, skill, and athleticism. Tator is a reliable penetrating force and finisher, but doesn't necessarily require a ton of touches to make an impact. He's a capable passer, defender, and rebounder with the ability to outwork his assignment on either end of the floor. Tator is great in transition, hits jumpers at a nice percentage, and moves well without the ball. Next in his development process is working on his awareness as an off-ball defender, as it would lead to more forced turnovers. Coach Rich on Tator: 'David is a gritty player and showed potential throughout the day. He touches the paint and displayed excellent court vision. David has terrific speed and scrappiness on rebounds. He's very coachable and has a great attitude.' Tator proved to be an asset during camp and should be a primary contributor for Panther Creek during the upcoming season. 

#125: 6'3 '23 Terrence Johnson III (Ardrey Kell)

Moving onto a player that consistently found ways to make his presence felt on both ends of the floor, Terrence Johnson. He's a long, wiry forward prospect with an excellent motor and an understanding of how to make hustle plays at all times. Johnson positions himself for success and naturally seems to find production, securing rebounds, making unselfish passes, and forcing turnovers defensively. He utilized his length to finish effectively as a cutter and penetrator. Next in his development process is working to add strength, as it would make him even more physically imposing on either end of the floor. Coach Rich on Johnson: 'Terrence has a terrific attitude and produces around the rim. He handled the ball very well, played strong defense, and proved to be a team player who can put it in the rim with ease.' Johnson found a ton of opportunities during his time at camp and should be able to carve out a productive role for Ardrey Kell over these next two seasons. 

#133: 6'4 '22 Kayden Lennard (Philip O'Berry)

Continuing onto a player that continues to showcase steady improvement within his progression, Kayden Lennard. He's a long, wiry, athletic wing prospect with a quick first step and strong rebounding presence. Lennard possesses a tight handle and is capable of getting downhill whenever he wants, where he shows the ability to finish consistently with either hand. He's a smart passer and unselfish teammate with a respectable perimeter jumper and the understanding of how to overwhelm his assignment defensively. Lennard also proved to be terrific in transition. Next in his development process is working to add strength, as it would make him even tougher for opponents to contain. Coach Rich on Lennard: 'Kayden is an explosive player with a great attitude. He's an upbeat, very coachable, highly athletic kid that can score from all over the court while getting his teammates involved. Kayden is a great team player and does a little bit of everything on the court.' Lennard proved to be an asset during camp and should have a very productive senior campaign at Philip O'Berry.

#134: 6'4 '22 Presley Hunter (Henderson Collegiate)

Next, we look at a player that consistently stood out through his toughness and blue-collar approach, Presley Hunter. He's a big, strong, physical wing prospect with the ability to apply scoring pressure from all three levels. Hunter displays IQ, a high motor, and a pretty well-rounded approach on either end of the floor. Hunter is a useful rebounder, aggressive downhill force, and capable defender against multiple positions. Next in hisd evelopemnt process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would allow him to find even more scoring opportunities. Coach Rich on Hunter: 'Presley is a strong player with great vision, speed, and an understanding of the game. His high IQ, ball-handling, and unselfish play at three different positions made him very valuable. He shot the ball extremely well from distance and drives the ball at a high volume. Presley was very adaptable on the court.' Hunter enjoyed a quality showing at camp and should be poised for a nice senior season at Henderson Colleigate.

#141: 6'2 '24 Erza Jamison (Northside Christian)

Moving onto a player that showcased a fairly unique, unorthodox identity throughout the day, Erza Jamison. He's a big, strong, skilled forward prospect with the ability to utilize his body and play bigger than his size would imply. Jamison is slightly undersized in terms of height, but understands how to cause mismatches and apply pressure in various ways. He's great at getting downhill and attacking, both in the half-court and transition, and can make quality passes to teammates. Jamison tends to get downhill and finish through contact at a seemingly nonstop rate. He’s also a solid defender and rebounder with a nice two-way feel for the game. Next in his development process is developing a go-to move in the post to overpower smaller opponents. Coach Rich on Jamison: 'Erza is a long, physical downhill presence with great length and an excellent instinct for getting to the cup. He handles the ball well, attacks off the dribble, and mixes it up with bigger opponents inside the paint. With continued skill work and strength training, he will be a force.' Jamison made a consistent impact at camp and should be able to carve out a useful role over the coming years for Northside Christian. 

#146: 6'8 '24 Landon Johnson (High Point Christian)

Finishing up, we look at a player that arguably stood out as the most intriguing long-term prospect on this team, Landon Johnson. He's a long, sturdy, fluid post prospect with an active presence on both ends of the floor. Johnson is a capable scorer out of the post, possessing various moves and the necessary strength/athleticism to finish through contact or above the rim. He rebounds at a consistent rate, runs the floor well in transition, and shows the ability to space the floor efficiently'especially for his position. Johnson also has great tools as a rim-protector, and should steadily improve as a defensive anchor. Next in his development process is working on being detached from officiating and general mistakes, as it would strengthen his on-court mentality. Coach Rich on Johnson: 'Lando has tons of potential. He's long, tall, and understands how to work hard. He runs the floor well in transition and passes nicely in the open floor. Lando will benefit from additional speed and skill work. He will be a guy to watch as he gets older.' Johnson has a ton of appeal, especially given his current trajectory, and should be a player to monitor going forward.
