Phenom Hoops is excited to announce the addition of Patrick Paul and Khalil Shakir as we expand our coverage in South Carolina. The state of South Carolina is becoming a hotbed for basketball and Patrick and Khalil will provide coverage at the grassroots level. With the recent success of Zion Williamson and Ja Morant, college coaches are paying more and more attention to the talent in the Palmetto State and we hope to provide more in-depth coverage.
Patrick Paul
Coach Paul is the owner and head trainer of Passion Driven Sports. Paul played collegiately at Morris College and travelled across the world seeing and playing the game he loves. He has worked as a camp coach for Phenom Hoops. Coach Paul’s focus will be covering South Carolina with a heavy emphasis on the Pee Dee are and the Grand Strand. Coach Paul will bring his expertise as a professional trainer that takes great pride in the growth and development of young players especially in the Pee Dee area of South Carolina.
Khalil Shakir
Khalil is no stranger to Phenom Hoops. He has participated in numerous events as a player and is an alum of our Phenom camps. Khalil graduated from Blythewood High School in 2017. He attended Limestone and transferred to Coker and is working on his Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration on Sports Management. Khalil is set to graduate from Coker in 2021. Currently, Khalil is an assistant coach and Director of Player Development at Trinity -Byrnes Collegiate School. In addition, Khalil is also the Assistant Director of Recruiting and 16U Coach of the Upward Stars Pee Dee. In addition, Khalil has worked as a camp coach for our Phenom camps in South Carolina.
