The Phenom Post Grad Nationals brought all of us the chance to not only brought us intense matchups, incredible competition, and big-time talent.  It also brought us a chance at Phenom Hoops to learn a few more names that quite frankly, should be getting more looks.

One player that quickly caught our eye in a big-time matchup was 2021 6’7 Jermontae Hill from DME, as he was a huge part of taking down then undefeated Hargrave Academy on Day 1 in Rock Hill.  In the win, he finished leading the charge with 19 points and averaged nearly 14 points per game throughout the event.

Hill’s versatility on the court is what quickly caught our attention.  He is just a natural all-around prospect that can not only operate and find success at in several areas on the floor offensively, but also guard multiple positions defensively.

At the PG Nationals, Hill showed that he really can score from multiple areas but excels with his toughness and ability to attack the basket off the dribble.  He is a tremendous athlete that can finish strong at the rim but also be a mismatch when he initiates the offense.  Hill is a prospect that you can allow to play multiple positions and operate in what the defense is giving him, either using his size against smaller defenders and finish around the rim, or take bigger defenders off the dribble and knock down shots.

Right now, his recruitment has been quiet, which is interesting to hear from what we saw on the court. He has been earning interest from schools like Georgia Tech, Colorado, Missouri, Wagner, North Alabama, Presbyterian, ETSU, and others but from what we saw, Hill certainly passes the eye test.
