Every year brings opportunities for players around the region; a chance to make a bigger impact and make a name for themselves and we are excited to see who will do that this upcoming season. One player that I believe has a chance to really shine in a big way is 2026 6’4 KJ Shouse with Carolina International.

This is a young man who has made his presence felt in a variety of ways, impacting the game where he was needed and displaying his ability to be a tough, physical, and versatile piece who just looks to help his team. But, from what we saw this summer with Team United and at Team Camp, Shouse has a huge opportunity ahead of him to really step up and lead this team in an array of ways. With his high motor, his ability to finish, play and defend multiple positions, and the opportunity to show more of his scoring ability, Shouse has a chance to lead this team in a big way and put himself on more radars this upcoming season. I expect, from what we saw this summer, for him to grab that opportunity and run with it.

What Has Been Said:

“After watching him over these last few seasons, it’s quite clear that Shouse is ready to take the next step in his development. Previously known for his abilities as a glue-guy who outworked opponents and did the dirty work, he’s morphed into a legitimate all-around leader. Shouse truly did everything for this group. He initiated the offense, created for himself and others, scored from all levels, and maintained his phenomenal presence as a workhorse rebounder and versatile defender. It would be impossible to say anything other than positives about Shouse and the clear work he’s put in over the recent months. Expect him to be a breakout player this season.”

“Shouse had previously shown before to be a key factor on the court and an x-factor for his team in several valuable areas. But now, with Carolina International, Shouse has an opportunity to flourish as a well-rounded prospect on both ends, a reliable scorer, and one that brings a lot of versatility. Shouse has a chance to elevate his game to another level.”
