Here is one prospect that you will want to put on your radar, as 2023 6’0 Bennett Bowers is one to monitor.
The sophomore point guard from Buffalo Gap High School brings early intrigue with what he has shown on the court. In his sophomore season along, he has posted averages of 16.5 points per game, 4.8 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game, helping him earn All-District and All-Region honors. He is also shooting the ball incredibly well; 40 percent from three and 84 percent from the line.
Playing for VA Premier 2023, Coach Corey Stitzel had this to say on Twitter earlier this year:
“2023 VA Premier guard Bennett Bowers (Buffalo Gap) is one of VA best kept secrets. Bigtime shooter with sneaky athleticism. Going to be a name for many years in the Shenandoah Valley and beyond.”
This is a guard that has tremendous speed and ball skills early on, playing with a high IQ on the court. Bowers can score from multiple levels and has a tremendous work ethic. It is why he should be on the radar of many early on, seeing how he continues to develop.
