What Does This Commitment Mean to Texas A&M:
Oklahoma State strikes again with another commitment, securing a future big man in 6’10 Mekhi Ragland. The big man announced back in August his Top Five schools, with Oklahoma State joining Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia State, and DePaul, with the Cowboys ultimately coming out on top. The coaching staff looked to make him a priority and he visited back in September. It paid off, as Oklahoma State was able to secure its big man for the future. When talking about his game, he certainly brings size and a big frame at 6’10, but he has a confident jumper in stepping out, shows good footwork and feel around the basket, and understands how to use his frame to his advantage. Ragland also has active hands and a natural feel on the glass. Now, Oklahoma State looks to continue to build but they have been able to not only land a big man for the future win Ragland but also a terrific and confident shooter in Ryan Crotty.
