2026 Jordan Buzzard (East Meck)

Buzzard has been a clear college-worthy prospect for some time now and he showed once again why college programs should be looking his way. Buzzard can be such a tough matchup on the court with his ability to be a threat inside and around the rim, as well as his comfort level from outside. He operates really well from a variety of levels, showing tremendous fluidity inside and out as well as making plays off the bounce. Buzzard is a prospect in the Class of 2026 that deserves more attention from college programs.

2026 Mark Caslaru (Catawba Ridge)

An underrated big in my opinion but also one that is still learning the game and has upside left in his game. Caslaru stands at 6’10 and shows a nice understanding of how to operate in the paint. Offensively, he has a soft touch, displays footwork in how to operate in the paint, and keeps the ball high in finishing, not to mention his ability to step out and face up, knocking down mid-range shots and further. He has great instincts on the glass as well. Caslaru is an underrated big that college coaches should look at more.

2027 Lusemo Macharia (Independence)

Macharia looks to be a name to watch more because from what we have seen over the last year, he has continued to grow and develop as a player.  Macharia is truly starting to understand and find his groove on the court, as he is a 6’6 forward who runs the floor and moves well on both ends. He stays active and engaged, displays the ability to create and make plays for himself, finishes around the rim, and uses his length well to his advantage both on the offensive and defensive glass. He will continue to be a player to watch but from what we have seen, he is a forward that college coaches should notice more.

2025 Stephano Farrington (Bull City Prep)

If there is an unsigned senior big that college programs should be looking at, Farrington is one that I would really have my eyes on. The 6’8 long forward certainly is one that makes his presence felt with his athleticism, using that to not only run the floor and finish high at the rim but also in blocking multiple shots on the defensive end. Farrington makes his presence felt on both sides of the floor and is one that I would consider an underrated prospect here in the state of NC.
