Through his play this year, Trinity Christian’s 6’6″ junior Audiese Toney has more than stepped out of the shadows of his more well-known (and deserving) teammates. It is about time that the nation and college coaches take notice of Toney and all the production he brings to every game played as well.

Originally from Alabama, the 6’6″ junior moved up to Fayetteville last year where he played at Northwood Temple. Toney had a good season, put his name on the map and earned an invited to the prestigious North Carolina Top 80. However, it was over the summer, playing with Team United, that Toney really took a major step forward. He is currently ranked #7 in North Carolina's loaded 2019 class.

The 6’6″ junior showed up, this year, at Trinity Christian with a college ready frame that brought confidence and aggression to his game. He is averaging 13.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Doing a little bit of everything, including the down and dirty work on defense and on the boards. His game as really improved as a shooter, the lefty has a smooth stroke and is shooting 49% from the field with right at a three made per game.

Toney was a standout performer at Carmel Christian's MLK Showcase. With the 15 plus coaches in the stands we wrote, 'Toney is a complete player, you are able to do so many things with him. The lefty has a college ready frame with great length. He has a high court IQ with the ability to defend the ball or the wing very well. He showcased the complete arsenal tonight with 20 points, 7-11 from the field with 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. He's a major player.'

Recently the college coaches have started to pick up on the 6'6' wing. The last three offers for Audiese Toney have been Kansas State, Virginia Tech and VCU, which is more in line with what should be coming. He is a Top 100 type of prospect and the national guys will catch on to that. One thing is for sure, his recruitment will certainly start to mirror that ranking.
