Phenom Hoops hit the road to old Rick Lewis stomping grounds. It was special to walk into a practice at your dad's alma mater. North Iredell is a young team but has a really good chance at winning conference. Their biggest competitors in conference will be Statesville High School and West Rowan. Even though North Iredell is young this will be one of the best teams they have had in a while. They are led by Junior guard Jackson Hawkins.
Jackson Hawkins 6'3 2022
Jackson is the leader of this team. He leads by example and isn't scared to lead with his voice. His size and strength will allow him to make an impact on both sizes of the ball. He uses his body really well on drives. He has a great basketball IQ and is able to create plays for himself and others. Also, he is knock down shooter from the perimeter. Jackson is a high academic student athlete and has the second highest GPA in his class.
Beckham Tharpe 6'8 2023
The young forward has all the tools to be a really good player. The long, athletic forward has a great touch around the rim and the ability to step out and knock down perimeter shots. Once he becomes more aggressive on the court, he has a great shot at reaching his full potential. He will be a key piece for North Iredell. Also,Beckham sports an impressive 4.20 GPA.
John Jackson 5'10 2022
John is extremely quick. He has the ability to be a pest on / off ball defender. Also, is able to use his speed to get past defenders. He is a paint touch guard who does a good job creating plays for others. He is an extremely hard worker.
Cole Saunders 6'1 2023
He is a savvy playmaker. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes with the ball. The pass first point guard does a great job using his body and absorbing contact. He is a good shooter. He should look for his shot more in my opinion. He is the type of player you want to run your team.
