Coach: Cam Corey
#20: 6’2 ’26 Chaise Smith (Washington)
Starting off, we look at a player who possesses a smooth, dynamic identity, Chaise Smith. He’s a smart, crafty guard prospect who can run a team and apply scoring pressure in a variety of ways. Smith showcased a high IQ, polished creation skills, and lethal penetration sense. He finished around the basket and knocked down shots at a quality rate. Smith played with nonstop energy on defense and regularly disrupted opposing ball-handlers. Next in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would make him a more lethal spot-up threat. Coach Corey on Smith: “Chaise is a very quick and agile athlete with the ball in his hands. Gets downhill smoothly and easily. Gets to the rim with ease, has a great attitude, and listens to his coaches. Needs to work on getting his range of shots more consistent from midrange to beyond the arc. Can handle the ball at a high level, which he then creates for others.” Smith did a lot of things well during camp and should be poised for another highly productive season at Washington.
#28: 6’3 ’25 Gray Madeira (Concord Academy)
Next, we look at a player whose steady presence and array of skills allows him to produce in various types of roles, Gray Madeira. He’s a smart, well-rounded guard prospect who defends, hits shots, and actively fills in the gaps on both ends of the floor. Madeira is a capable creator and willing playmaker who can score as needed. He provides a nice presence as a cutter/spot-up threat and gets to his spots in transition. Madeira is a solid defender and rebounder for his size/position. Next in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Corey on Madeira: “Gray is very tough and physical. Goes after every 50/50 ball around him. Gets others involved. Great attitude towards coaches and teammates. Has the best energy off the court. Just keep working on his all-around game, as he has all the little things that coaches at the next level want in a player.” Madeira produced nicely at camp and should be a key piece for Concord Academy during his upcoming senior season.
#39: 6’3 ’25 Israel Eatman (Green Level)
Moving forward, we look at a player who highlighted the ability to affect all facets of the game, Israel Eatman. He’s a smart, tough, well-rounded guard prospect who can run a team or make an impact as an off-ball threat. Eatman is a reliable perimeter shooter with the ability to attack closeouts and make decisions with the ball in his hands. He’s a willing passer who looks to make the right play. Eatman is also a quality defender with the size, quickness, and instincts to cause a lot of problems for opponents. Next in his development process is working to improve his rebounding presence, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Corey on Eatman: “Israel is a great kid and a coach’s dream player. He listens, has toughness, and high IQ. Shoots the ball at a high percentage. Great catch-and-shoot guy. Needs to get more confident vocally and others will follow. He attacks the basket with uber confidence and can play above the rim.” Eatman proved to be an asset at camp and will be a definite leader for Green Level during his upcoming senior season.
#45: 6’5 ’26 Bradley Floyd (Winston-Salem Christian)
Continuing forward, we look at a player who stood out through his motor and versatility, Bradley Floyd. He’s a smart, athletic wing prospect with a well-rounded skillset and the ability to operate in several types of roles. Floyd created effectively for himself and others off the dribble. He got downhill with ease and finished or made passes to open teammates. Floyd plays well through contact, converts perimeter jumpers, and handles the ball very well for his size. He’s also a strong rebounder and useful defender who offers great energy, toughness, and physicality. Next in his development process is working on his consistency as a spot-up threat, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Corey on Floyd: “Bradley is very crafty with his handle. Can finish at the rim at a very high level. Gets others involved off-ball. Great attitude towards coaches and players. Very quick second jump to rebounds. Plays above the rim, and gets to his spots down low easily.” Floyd enjoyed a strong showing during camp and could be poised for a potential breakout season at Winston-Salem Christian.
#53: 6’5 ’25 Kenny Miller (Smith)
Next, we look at a player who naturally seems to find ways to produce in every context or setting, Kenny Miller. He’s a long, smart, skilled wing prospect with a wiry frame and excellent nose for the ball. Offensively, Miller can do a little bit of everything. He penetrates, sets up others, and finishes well at the basket. He’s able to knock down the open jumper but is at his best when attacking downhill. Miller also displays great instincts defensively and forces turnovers at a nice rate. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a more physically imposing player. Coach Corey on Miller: “Kenny is very athletic. Attacks the rim with purpose. High-flyer who can and will finish above the rim. Great team player who makes the right play at the right time. Would love to see him shoot more. Rebounds like a 7-foot center with a very quick second jump off the ground.” Miller made his presence felt throughout camp and should be a major leader for Smith heading into his upcoming senior season.
#58: 6’6 ’25 Kody Frey (Green Hope)
Moving forward, we look at a player who stood out through his athleticism and consistent perimeter shooting, Kody Frey. He’s a smart, high-motor wing prospect who can handle the ball, score from all levels, and create for himself and others. Frey mixes it up well between penetrating, spacing the floor, and asserting his midrange presence. He moves very effectively without the ball to find and exploit open seams within the defense. Frey offered solid defensive prowess and a strong rebounding presence. Next in his development process is working on his playmaking instincts, as it would make him a more versatile offensive threat. Coach Corey on Frey: “Kody has a very high basketball IQ. Knows what to do and when to do things on the court. Can shoot the ball at a high percentage. Listens and responds well to every coach and teammate around him. Plays above the rim. Very athletic in transition and when attacking the basket.” Frey found consistent production throughout camp and should be poised for a big senior season at Green Hope.
#61: 6’2 ’27 Chris Gomez (Forsyth Country Day)
Continuing forward, we look at a player who displays a strong understanding of how to produce within the flow of the action, Chris Gomez. He’s a tough, scrappy guard prospect with a high motor and unselfish approach to the game. Gomez is a capable creator who initiates the offense, gets others involved, and applies scoring pressure as needed. He hit shots and finished around the basket, but didn’t require the ball to make an impact. Gomez battled defensively, crashed the glass, and actively made hustle plays. Next in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a better finisher around the basket. Coach Corey on Gomez: “Even though Chris is playing up an age group, he is holding his own. Has confidence in his catch-and-shoot game. Gets to the rim in transition and finishes well. The game is slightly fast for his age, but he has sparks of being a difference-maker. Really needs to focus on being comfortable running an offense, as it will help his future self.” Gomez made a quality impact at camp and should be a key piece for Forsyth Country Day over the foreseeable future.
#68: 6’7 ’25 Treyvon Maddox (Combine Academy)
Next, we look at a player who possesses an incredibly appealing physical profile, Treyvon Maddox. He’s a long, explosive wing prospect who shined as a leader in various facets of the game. Maddox scored from all levels, defended multiple positions, and rebounded extremely well on both ends of the floor. He utilizes his quickness and fluidity to attack off the dribble and finish around the basket. Maddox displayed the ability to operate within a role or set the tone as a focal point. Next in his development process is working on his processing ability as a passer, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Corey on Maddox: “Treyvon is a great kid. Can flat-out play the game the right way. Very comfortable with his own game. Leads his team by being vocal and by his actions. Don’t ever play down to the level of talent on the court; dominate every moment you have.” Maddox made a lasting impression at camp and should be an asset for Combine Academy entering his upcoming senior season.
#76: 6’9 ’26 Justin Caldwell (Berean Baptist)
Finishing up, we look at a player who effectively anchored the paint on both ends of the floor, Justin Caldwell. He’s a strong, athletic big man with a great combination of touch, feel, and aggressiveness around the basket. Caldwell finishes nearly everything he attempts inside the paint and absorbs contact well as a finisher. He can knock down midrange jumpers and the occasional shot from beyond the arc. Caldwell battles well defensively and makes his presence consistently felt on the glass. He also runs the floor in transition. Next in his development process is working on his off-ball awareness defensively, as it would allow him to be in better position to make plays. Coach Corey on Caldwell: “Justin offers a great inside presence around the rim and paint. Demands his spot well. Finishes pretty good around and above the rim. Plays at a high level. Brings passion and grit to the court. Can stretch the floor as well as knocking down outside shots.” Caldwell did a lot of things well during his time at camp and should be a meaningful addition to Berean Baptist going forward.
