The stars were out at the George Lynch Invitational presented by Phenom Hoops, and the list could have been bigger than this with how many players impressed at the event. POB’s Eye Catchers from Day 2 at the George Lynch Invitational

2023 Noah Van Bibber (Concord Academy): Bibber can really be a critical piece for his team because when he is clicking and stretching the defense with his shot-making ability, Concord Academy has plenty of weapons to be effective. He did that today, finding the open spots in the defense, rising up, and knocking key shots with his jumper.  When he is on along with everyone else, this team is...

POB’s Eye Catchers from Summer Finale Day 1 (Part 1)

2025 Jayden Ross (Elite 1): It was fun to watch Ross operate early on Day 1.  He continues to show his development as a player, while showing his ability to not only knock down shots but also be a playmaker on the floor. Really like his feel and pace that he plays with, picking his spots and displaying a soft touch on his shot.  2028 Eddie Cota (Carolina Heights): The son of Ed Cota, you can see...

POB’s Eye Catchers from Phenom Team Camp (Day 1, Part 1)

2024 Xavier Johnson (Fayetteville Academy): Johnson came out strong to start his weekend at the Phenom Team Camp, using his 6’5 frame well, being active on the floor, creating second-chance opportunities for his team, attacking the glass, and getting downhill to make plays. Loved the energy and motor that he set for his team. 2023 Will Gray (East Forsyth): Gray continues to be a staple here in...

POB’s Eye Catchers from NC Top 80

2022 Camian Shell: We have known what Shell can provide on the floor but really elevated his play at the NC Top 80. He was aggressive offensively, looked for his shot, initiated the offense, and of course, defended as well.  Really liked how he got his teammates involved but didn’t shy away from his outside game. 2023 Callum Richard: It seems to be coming along for the big man.  He is...

Dawkins’ Standouts at Rise Showcase (Day 1, Part 1)

By; DeAjai Dawkins 6’5 2024 Jucqarie Love (NLPB Storm 15U)  No individual player has shined brighter to me today than 2024 Jucqarie Love. The Southern Guilford prospect has been absolutely electric today, starting his day off with a 30 point game in a way. Today, Love is looking like an undeniable star, hitting perimeter shots both with consistency and in the clutch. Love had a number of...

POB’s Eye Catchers from Phenom Rise Showcase (Day 1, Part 1)

2026 Jabian Shabazz (Carolina Rockets): The Rockets started out in impressive fashion and Jabian was one of the reasons why.  So young but this is a young man that has a terrific frame and size already, standing around 6’5, carves out space, has terrific hands, and excels on getting on the board.  This is going to be a big man to really watch down the road as he continues to grow and develop....

“Getting to Know” 6’3 2024 Langston Boyd

We’ve seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a “Getting to Know” series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball...

POB’s Eye Catchers from Phenom Summer Finale (Day 1, Part 3)

2022 Jordan Crawford (DCT Elite): Crawford continues to play at a high level and we think it is only a matter of time until college coaches start coming more his way.  His ability to score on multiple levels is impressive, knocking down threes with consistency but also creating off the dribble, penetrating the lanes, and getting to the rim.  H really can fill it up quickly and did so on Day 1....
