Rankings Report Pre-Season Preview: Conference 53

There is no clear cut favorite in my opinion for this conference. AC Reynolds and Enka could go either way. AC Reynolds brings back almost their entire team with star sophomore Rakease Passmore. Enka also returns their starting 5 and entire bench. Guys like Ian Clinkscales-King, Jacob Tiller, and Chase Boswell will be a hard trio to stop. TC Roberson will be underdogs to watch out for as they bring back a bunch of seniors who will have to make a big step. Teams like North Buncombe, McDowell, and Erwin will look to make names for themself in this deep conference. Very excited to see how this conference turns out.

Rankings Report Pre-Season Preview: Conference 54

Conference 54 will be an extremely well-balanced conference with multiple teams bringing back their leading scorers. Franklin is coming into the season bringing back their three leading scorers from last year. They are also bringing in a transfer from Highlands High School who led his team in scoring last season. North Henderson is bringing back almost their entire starting 5 in hopes of winning...

Rankings Report Pre-Season Preview: Conference 45

With this conference, there can be multiple changes between the ranks. A lot of teams that can pull off upsets. This should be a closely contested conference. With every team trying to take the top spot. West Caldwell is coming off a solid season. They bring back their two leading scorers in Malek Patterson & JaKobe Hood. Next, we have Maiden who has a great duo in Dru McClough and Chris Culliver. Teams like Newton-Conover, Bunker Hill, West Lincoln, and East Burke can all be underdogs to watch out for. Should be a very interesting and balanced conference to keep an eye on.

Rankings Report Pre-Season Preview: Conference 41

The new conference 41 should be one of the most exciting conferences in NC! With 2A state runner ups Hendersonville looking to make another run at the title. R-S Central is another one to keep an eye as they went 13-2 last season. They are keeping almost there entire starting 5 from last year with the addition of 6’7” Freshman Mikey Wilkins. Teams like Patton and Chase are adding big pieces like Brayden Crump and Addison Archer along with others to compete for the top spots. Should be a very exciting and fun conference to keep up with this season.

Rankings Report Pre-Season Preview: Conference 42

This should be an intriguing conference. But I think Draughn and Mountain Heritage are the clear cut favorites for the top of the conference. I believe Daylin Pritchard can have a breakout season becoming the player of the year. I like the size of Mountain Heritage and the chemistry they have formed together over the years. Teams like Madison, Mitchell, Avery and Owen have some great talent and could surprise some of the other teams.

Rankings Report Pre-Season Preview: Conference 43

These are my preseason predictions for a newly formed conference 43. This should be a fun conference to watch & honestly could go either way with the front runner being Hayesville. There is some great talent in this conference and I believe there will be a lot of new names that will make some noise for years to come. I am looking forward to seeing how this new conference unfolds.

Phenom Open Gym: AC Reynolds

AC Reynolds could surprise a lot of teams this season in the Western Mountain Athletic Conference. They went 18-10 last season and won the Conference regular season and tournament titles. They lost 7 seniors from last years team. But it looks like they reloaded & have a young explosive roster filled with speed, length and athleticism. Coach Stevens is excited about his teams work ethic and camaraderie. The Rockets are looking forward to battling for another conference title this year.

Traditional Throwbacks

Recently our news feeds are full of high clip shot takers, dunk makers, and human highlight films.  Big names are fun to watch and follow, they’re what most everyone talks about because they have the views and can fare. However, do those players play within the game, and will their teams to win games, do they make their teams better, are they making selfless plays or shoot at a high percentage?...

2021 6’7 Earl Burgess (Team 864) is long, strong and tough enough to impact the game on both ends inside, yet skilled enough to make the right plays as a wing with his timely and smart decisions. RANKINGS REPORT Early Standouts from Summer Havoc (Day 1)

Luke Bracey 2021 5’10” Jalen Hinton (Charlotte Nets) is a really shifty & explosive point guard from Independence High School. He’s a clutch shot maker that wants to change the game in key moments. He knows how to draw contact & get to the foul line. Good  decision maker and play maker.  2022 6’2” Sam Cogan (Team Together) always finds away to get the ball in the basket....
