Nolan Hodge

Just last week, Darris Nichols was announced as the new head coach at Radford and he has been filling out his staff quite nicely.' And they haven't been wasting any time on the recruiting trail, quickly offering players around the country.

One area that they seem to be targeting are the Carolinas and Virginia.

Coach Nichols quickly jumped on a few unsigned seniors in Jalen Ricks and Derrick Jones Jr.' Length and size seem to be a priority as Ricks was the first to receive an offer, a 6'7 prospect from Oak Hill then Jones added an offer, a 6'6 prospect from Blue Ridge.

In the class of 2022, the staff quickly offered one of the fastest rising prospects in 2022 6'4 MJ Collins from Westminster Catawba. Shortly after that, they also started to target several players in Virginia.' They offered a fast-rising point guard in Kenyon Giles, who has quickly been racking up offers. 2022 Kanye Clary, 2022 Anthony Davis Jr., and 2023 Trevor Smith were also guards from Virginia that received offers from the Highlanders.

North Carolina is another hotbed of talent that Radford seemed to be targeting, quickly jumping on a few rising prospects.' 2022 Elijah Jamison and 2022 Nolan Hodge were two that received offers earlier in the week.' Jamison is a 6'3 point guard from Liberty Heights and one that is quickly starting to be regarded as one of the top point guards around the area, while Hodge from Northern Guilford, still remains an under-recruited gem in the state.

Their most recent offer though went to a player quickly making a statement in North Carolina, as 2023 Silas Demary Jr. earned his first D1 offer from the Highlanders.

Coach Nichols and his staff is quickly making their mark around the region and they understand the importance of targeting the talent around the area.  These are just a few players that have received offers and we don't see them slowing down any time soon.
