Year after year, there are players that fall through the cracks or just seem to be at a loss of words on why more schools aren’t looking their way. Even though there is time left in his recruitment, 2022 6’7 Treyvon Byrd could be put into that category right now.

We are talking about a 6’7 wing that has incredible length, body control, and skill set that could easily translate to the next level.  Byrd has a unique long frame but tremendous athleticism on the floor, while also doing an exceptional job in being able to score from the perimeter as well as at the rim.  He can be a high-flyer, finish around contact with his wingspan, provide another ball-handler, and one that can really take over as a scorer on the floor; he has that mentality.

Right now, he holds offers from Eastern Kentucky, UMass, and SC State, but it will be interesting to see which other schools may enter the picture.  When speaking with Byrd, he mentioned schools like Charleston Southern, Towson, Cincinnati, Grambling State, NC Central, Tulsa, and Georgia have all expressed interest his way.

Time after time, Byrd has shown that he can be a big-time player and one that can produce in multiple areas. He showed it last year with Bull City Prep, being the go-to player, and continues to show it this season with an array of talent around him.

So, who will be the next to join in his recruitment? It will be interesting to see throughout this season but he is one that needs to be garnering more attention.
