#82 5’11 2022 AJ Cook: Weddington High School (NC)

Cook was absolutely lights out in his first game of the day, knocking down shots from way beyond the arc at a really high rate. He’s a savvy player with the ball in his hands, making good decisions and finding his guys in the right place at the right time. He’s a true combo guard due to his ability to absolutely kill teams with his spot up ability. Expect big things from Cook this year at Weddington, he has a legitimate case in the best shooter in 2022 argument. His performance was really that impressive.

#135 6’5 2021 Jacob Morgan: Pine Lake Prep (NC)

Morgan is a guy that the Phenom Hoops staff is really familiar with. He was a star for The Carolina Riptide 16u team this summer, using his outside shooting touch and vertical ability as one of the teams most prolific offensive players this season. He buys into the team concept, making good decisions with the ball in his hands and consistently getting to the spots on the floor where he’s comfortable. He’s tracking as a kid that will be competing for scholarships due to his blend of size, skill, and overall feel for the game. Expect a nice year from Morgan at Pine Lake Prep.

#90 6’0 2021 Brian Keith: Wake Christian Academy (NC)

Keith is a super quick guard that is really difficult to contain in transition and isolation situations. He has a really elusive first step that he uses to get by the initial layer of the defense, sucking the help in, opening up his shooters on the perimeter where he finds them more often than not. His ability to finish through traffic at the rim is impressive as well. He’s showcased a deep bag of tricks today, and it’s good that Wake Christian has an intriguing piece like Keith moving forward.

#141 6’9 2023 Callum Richard: Gaston Day School (NC)

Richard is arguably the top prospect in attendance with his keen understanding of the game and excellent touch around the rim. Most young post players have a hard time applying their talents and translating it into production, that’s not the case for Richard as he’s been a monster on the boards and living around the rim. As his frame fills out and he adds strength, expect Richard to become a dominant player in NC for years to come. His recruitment will continue to progress as his skillset does.

#138 6’6 2023 Prashant Hill: Cannon School (NC)

Hill is a really exciting young prospect due to his blend of size and shooting ability. In the first half during game one of the day, Hill was absolutely lights out from beyond the arc and was letting that confidence flow through the rest of his game. He attacks close-outs hard, getting to the rim and finishing with excellent touch down there. He’s in a program at Cannon that consistently develops and produces high level talent, expect Hill to be another name on that decorated alumni list in a few years if he continues to work on his game, he has a lot to like.
