Lake Norman vs. Panther Creek

Our final preview of the NCHSAA Playoffs, as we dive into the 4A Division. Lake Norman was able to get by Charlotte Catholic in what was an absolute battle, while Panther Creek squeaked by Hillside to find themselves in a hunt for a title.

When looking at these teams, both of them know how to score the ball and can come out strong. Lake Norman really gets up and down, looking to attack out in transition and score points. But they also can create havoc defensively as well.  But Panther Creek can do much of the same, as they average nearly 68 points per game compared to Lake Norman's 72ppg.

Taylor Barner, Kirstin Smalls, Olivia Tucker, Madisyn Jordan, and others all help lead the charge for Panther Creek, with Barner, Tucker, and Jordan averaging double-figures on the season (all averaging over 15ppg). When talking about Lake Norman, it starts with its senior leader in Kirsten Lewis-Williams, who has been dominant all year long, averaging 20.8ppg, 8.9rpg, 5.5apg, and 4.0spg. Bu they have others like Samantha Shehan, Kelsey Rhyne, and others that step up and make this team very difficult.

It should be a good matchup, as Lake Norman hopes to finish off an undefeated season, while Panther Creek looks to walk away with a championship on Saturday.
