Bishop McGuinness vs. Chatham Charter

We have a treat in the 1A NCHSAA Championship, as Bishop McGuinness and Chatham Charter square up in hopes of taking home the title.  Bishop McGuinness was able to step up on both ends against Robbinsville, securing a 41-30 victory, while Chatham Charter was able to battle past Falls Lake.

Bishop McGuinness continues to be led by their sophomore star Adelaide Jernigan, who has been very strong in averaging nearly 19 points per game. But she will have senior leaders behind her with Tate Chappell and Charley Chappell, both of which can be an impact on the floor. This is a team that has depth and uses plenty of players, keeping everyone fresh on the court.

Chatham Charter has been battle-tested but finds itself in the title game, as they are another team that brings depth and uses plenty of players to stay fresh on the court. 2023 Tamaya Walden is the clear leader on the court, averaging 23 points per game, but 2024 Meah Brooks continues to be a force offensively and on the boards.

Both teams are strong offensively and have proven themselves defensively as well. Who will be able to take advantage of key situations will be fun to check out, as this looks to be a very intriguing battle between two very good teams.
