Hartsville, South Carolina – Get ready for one of the region's top basketball events this weekend!! Hartsville High School will be playing host to a national high school basketball event as the Inaugural Hartsville Invitational is all set to take place on January 25. The elite showcase basketball event will host 14 teams from around the Carolina's as tickets will be $10 at the door, handed out in a first-come, first served manner.

National basketball event coordinators Phenom Hoops have worked in conjunction with local high school coaches to bring this incredible amount of talent to the Pee Dee, to showcase for local fans, college coaches and basketball scouts and media alike.

From the Pee Dee Region, this year's field will feature Darlington High, Marion High, South Florence High, Lugoff Elgin High, Manning High, and Trinity Byrnes Collegiate.

From North Carolina, Nationally ranked Combine Academy, defending state champion Carmel Christian, defending state finalist Henderson Collegiate, as well as top 15 ranked Burlington School and Lincoln Charter will be featured.

Also, from the low country of South Carolina, Lakewood High, featuring former South Florence standout Quentin Hodge and coached by former Clemson point guard Ed Scott, out of Sumter will also be participating.

Players featured in this event are committed to the likes of Pittsburgh, Wichita State, Rice, Youngstown State, Queens University and Limestone, while others are being recruited by various ACC, SEC and Division 1/Division 2 level schools, layers you will watch play on tv, at the next level.

The nationally recognized Combine Academy is based out of Lincolnton, North Carolina features Nationally ranked guard duo of Jalen Hood Schifino (team USA and Pittsburgh commit) and Robert Dillingham. They are also coached by former UNC great and NBA veteran Jeff McInnis.

Other ranked players in this event are Jadun Michael of The Burlington School, a Wichita State commit, who is ranked in the top 150 nationally in his class. Also, Quentin Hodge of Lakewood is Top 5 in a top 5 player in South Carolina for his class while, Javontae Waverly (Henderson Collegiate), Kuluel Mading (Burlington School), and Justin Taylor (Carmel Christian) are all ranked in the top 10 of their classes in North Carolina.

Games will start at Hartsville High School at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 25 and will continue every hour and a half with the final game set to tip off at 8:30.
